Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

G.O.A.L. Program

What groups/activities are eligible?

Recognized student organizations at a Michigan public, private, or charter school can apply for a grant. Activities must promote personal, professional, and educational development opportunities for participants. Unfortunately, we cannot support sports teams or organizations at this time.

Where does MiYEF get funding for G.O.A.L.?

The Michigan Youth Education Fund relies on individual donors to support the G.O.A.L. Program. Therefore, our giving capacity is directly tied to the amount of funds we raise each year. Learn how you can help out here.

Who can apply?

Any advisor, educator, or coach 18-years-old or older, affiliated with a Michigan public, private, or charter high school, and serves in an advisory role to plan and lead the student group’s activity.

I’m a student, how can I apply?

If you are a student or student leader, talk with your advisor to see if your group is eligible. You are welcome to work with you advisor on your group’s application.
