Samuels, Moine, and Krichevsky Elected to Board Leadership

June 30, 2022 – The Michigan Youth Education Fund elected its leadership for 2022-2023 at its quarterly meeting in September. Madeline Samuels, Lauren Moine, and Alexis Krichevsky will serve as President, Secretary, and Treasurer, respectively. The three will work together to ensure that the Michigan Youth Education Fund keeps growing and impacting more Michigan students while focusing on its mission.

The 2022-2023 elected board leaders represent the first all female board leadership for the Michigan Youth Education Fund. Executive Director, Eric Siegrist, remarked after the election, “I am excited to work with Maddie, Lauren, and Alexis to grow and expand our programs this year.” 

Madeleine Samuels

President

Madeline Samuels was re-elected as Board President. Samuels was integral in the formation of the Michigan Youth Education fund and has served as board president since its founding. Samuels is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and continues to serve the Grand Rapids community through her work with the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.


Lauren Moine

SECRETARY

Lauren Moine was re-elected as Board Secretary. Moine is a founding board member and was crucial in the formation of the Michigan Youth Education Fund. Moine has previously served in other board leadership positions. Moine is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and is continuing her education by pursuing her juris doctor at Wayne State University.


Alexis Krichevsky

Treasurer

Alexis Krichevsky was elected Board Treasurer. Krichevsky previously served as the Director of Human Resources for the Michigan Youth Education Fund and has been an active volunteer since its founding. Krichevsky is currently studying Political Science and Economics at Grand Valley State University. She is an involved member of her community and gives back through various volunteer opportunities.
